Tampa, FL 4-star big man Juwan Durham has committed to the University of Connecticut, he announced today on Twitter.
This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made but I’d like to announce that I will be committing to the University of Connecticut 🔵⚪️

Durham, who visited Storrs over the weekend, is the consensus #29 in the class of 2016, making him the top 2016 recruit currently committed to UConn (Alterique Gilbert sits just behind at #34). Durham is a versatile big man who shows legitimate ball skills and can attack the basket from the perimeter, both off the dribble and with a developing jump shot. His length and athleticism will enable him to play all over the front-court, making him – at worst – an outstanding consolation prize if it’s true that UConn has fallen out of the running for the quickly-rising Wenyen Gabriel.
With Durham’s commitment, Kevin Ollie is looking at a healthy stable of incoming talent for the 2016-17 season. With Alterique Gilbert, Mamadou Diarra, and incoming VCU transfer Terry Larrier, Ollie has the Huskies’ future looking bright.
