This weekend, anyone on the UConn campus might notice 2016 combo forward Vance Jackson (#51) trying to decide if he wants to make a big move to the east coast.
Jackson, who played with current UConn star Daniel Hamilton at St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California, is considered to be one of the best pure shooters in his class. After missing out on combo guard Myles Powell (committed to Seton Hall), Kevin Ollie will definitely be trying to get a commitment before Jackson leaves campus.
At 6-8, 220, Jackson boasts outstanding size for the wing, and could find himself being used as a “stretch four” a la Deandre Daniels. His commitment would solidify an already strong 2016 class, boasting forwards Juwan Durham (#31) and Mamadou Diarra (#118) and point guard Alterique Gilbert (#33). Ollie is still believed to be in the running for combo forward Wenyen Gabriel (#16) and big man De’Ron Davis (#38).
