Morgan Tuck, spilling the worst-kept secret in women’s basketball, told SportsCenter this morning that she will be forgoing her final year of eligibility and is declaring for the WNBA draft.

Tuck missed most of her sophomore year with a knee injury, and redshirted that season. She is expected to graduate this spring, so while she’s technically “leaving early” with another year of eligibility on the table, there didn’t seem to be much reason to return. Tuck leaves with four national championship rings and a four-year record of 151 wins and only five losses. Given her injury history and the limited window athletes have to earn a living with their body, moving to the next level seemed like an obvious choice for Tuck. When Tuck participated in Senior Day, most assumed this was her plan. So congrats on an outstanding UConn career, and best of luck in the draft, Morgan.
