It looks like UConn men’s basketball team won’t be missing postseason play again anytime soon, as the men’s basketball team posted a 947 Academic Progress Rate for the 2011-2012 school year, after scoring a 978 in 2010-2011. Sadly, all of this comes too late to prevent the team’s current athletes from being punished for the transgressions of players who left the program three years ago, but it is encouraging nonetheless.

The men’s basketball team was actually not one of the higher-achieving athletic teams at UConn, which saw even higher scores from it’s women’s basketball team, field hockey team, and men’s and women’s track teams, among others.
