Don’t heckle Army.

The Black Knights will visit PAWS ARF on Saturday in a rematch of their Yankee Stadium contest last year, which UConn lost 35-21.

It will be “Military Appreciation Day” in East Hartford. UConn will be hosting a special veterans’ tailgate before the game. And all former and active military members are eligible for discounted tickets by using the promo code: USA.

Additionally, the CT fastrack busway will give free rides to and from PAWS ARF to all presenting proper military ID.

More from UConn:

Details surrounding Military Appreciation Day:

  • Discounted Tickets for Active/Retired Military using promo code USA at UConnTickets.com
  • Recognizing all Active/Retired Military on the field during the 1st Quarter Intermission.
  • Special Halftime with the UCMB and 1,000 Band Day members performing a “Salute to the USA”
  • Recognizing UConn ROTC on the field during the 3rd Quarter Intermission

For those looking to take part in the on-field recognition:

  • Any Active Military/Veterans that would like to join us on the field for our Military Recognition will need to sign-up at Marketing Table at Fan Fest prior to the game, or at the Marketing Kiosk located inside the stadium near Gate B by 11:00am. (Fan Fest is the pre-game fan area located outside the stadium between Gates A & B)
  • All sign-ups will receive a wrist band at this time and be asked to wear it through the completion of the recognition.
  • With approximately 10:00 remaining in the 1st Quarter, these individuals will then need to meet at the Marketing Kiosk located just inside the Gate B entrance.
  • From here, the group will be escorted by the Marketing Staff to field level for this recognition.
  • The recognition will take place on-field at the end of the 1st Quarter.
  • Following the on-field recognition, the Marketing Staff will escort this group back to the concourse level.
