Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo (not using the stupid exclamation point) Sports is reporting that UConn has reached an agreement with head coach Kevin Ollie that will keep him in Storrs for the next five seasons at an annual salary around $3 million.

Although not yet official, the report brings the offseason saga of Ollie’s future closer to resolution.

Ollie will return to a Husky team that will bear little resemblance to the squad he piloted to a national championship this season. Guard Ryan Boatright and center Amida Brimah will be the lone returning starters, although Ollie will add NC State transfer Rodney Purvis, star recruit Daniel Hamilton, and freshmen Rakim Lubin and Sam Cassell Jr.

The extension would make Ollie the highest paid coach in the American Athletic Conference, and one of the top-10 highest paid coaches in the country.

  1. “Guard Ryan Boatright and center Amida Brimah will be the lone returning starters”

Phil Nolan was the starter, not Amida, and Nolan is also returning.
