Russetology: Huskies hanging by a thread, Syracuse in its rightful place

RUSSETOLOGY WAR ROOM — From deep inside the Russetology bunker, I come to you with another update. Since my last bracket, released on Sunday via the A Dime Blast, conference tournament upsets have shaken things up while bubble teams have continued to make their cases…for other bubble teams.

The latest example: Syracuse falling to Pittsburgh on Wednesday afternoon. On Sunday, I had the Orange in the First Four, facing Michigan in Dayton. Now, the Orange are out (along with Oregon State) and Monmouth and Wichita State take their spots.

As for UConn, I’m on the side of pretty much every bracketologist out there: a loss to Cincinnati Friday will knock the Huskies out. I’m not confident that a win absolutely sends them dancing, but it’s likely.

If you’re looking for places to criticize me and call me stupid, allow me to help you. Joe Lunardi, the New York Times of Bracketology, has Wichita State as an 8 seed and I have them barely in the field. Clearly we interpret their resumes differently. I’m also higher on Michigan than he is. Go figure.

Anyway, here’s the bracket. Enjoy. Click to make it readable.
