Notre Dame brings a nice one-two punch up front, though both punches are provided by established goon Bill Laimbeer. Two-time first-team All-American Troy Murphy provides more of the scoring up front, while Adrian Dantley and Austin Carr light it up from all over the court. John Paxson provides a steady hand running the offense. John Shumate is likely to see a fair amount of time spelling the foul-prone Laimbeer, and Notre Dame brings deft scoring touch of the bench in Woolridge, along with a superb shooter in Garrity.
