I probably should have gone with Norm Sloan here, but Jimmy V is an icon, so he gets it. David Thompson, as you may or may not know, was the player Michael Jordan wanted to be when he was a kid (safe to say that Michael undersold himself a tad). Tom Gugliotta was a highly-skilled forward who excelled in the NBA for years, and Spud Webb is still the shortest man to ever win an NBA dunk contest, at 5’7”. Vinny Del Negro and Nate McMillan both eventually became NBA head coaches, but I’m not sure why I wrote that here.
