UConn’s recent stretch of good football recruiting news got us thinking…do we really know anything about the Huskies of the future?
The Internet is a great place to learn a little about these guys, sure. Google Keyion Dixon (Glastonbury, CT, WR) or Ja’kevious Vickers (Belle Glade, FL, RB) and it’s easy to find a scouting report and plenty of #hottakes about what they will bring to PAWS ARF next year.
But has anyone asked them the important questions? The hard-hitting stuff you really need to know about?

Is Bob Diaco insane (in a good way)?
Vickers: I would most definitely describe coach Diaco [with] an insane love of his players and building the football program.
Dixon: I wouldn’t say coach Diaco is insane, I think he’s a mad scientist. He loves to experiment with play calling and goes about things in a very unorthodox manner. However, he gets results.
Why move from Florida to Connecticut?
JV: Because Connecticut has offered the best situation for my future.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Glastonbury?
KD: My favorite thing to do in Glastonbury is eat. We have a variety of restaurants so the choice is unlimited.
Describe your game in one sentence…without using the letter “e.”
KD: Fans will think I’m amusing to watch.
Describe your upcoming career at Connecticut in one hashtag.
JV: #Hardworking
Do you think you’ll get along with Jonathan?
JV: I think I will get along with him well because at UConn it’s all family and brotherhood.
KD: Jonathan and I will get along very well, there is actually a stuffed Jonny the Husky on top of my Christmas tree.

Is a hot dog a sandwich?
JV: No
KD: No
If you could merge any two animals into one super animal, what would you choose?
JV: A lion and a Giraffe
KD: I would merge a cheetah with a rhino.
What super power would you most like to have?
JV: Invisibility
KD: If I had a super power it would be the use of my brain full capacity or 100 percent.
What’s your favorite Taylor Swift song?
JV: I do not listen to Taylor Swift
KD: My favorite Taylor Swift song is “You Belong with Me”
